Information for Buyers

As a Certified Buyer Representative, I am qualified to assist you in finding, selecting and negotiating for your next home.  I have 15 years experience representing buyers in the Central New York market.  I work with purchasers of single family homes as well as investors.

Searching for a home

If you would like to set up a home search on your own, you are welcome to use this site. You can narrow your search by selecting area, price range and other criteria. This link gives you access to information from the Multiple Listing Service which is "live".  (Most public online sites are not "live" so are not always up to date.) Or let me do the searching for you.  I can set up an auto search with the criteria you give me so that you receive listings automatically as soon as they come on the market.

Search for homes

Browsing the listings at your own leisure is one way to search out potential homes, but weighing the investment potential of each property can be difficult. Public sites that give estimates of market value use very generic criteria that produce rough estimates.  I can give you an estimate of market value based on very specific features so that the comparable homes used to establish value are similar to the property that you are considering.  This will help you know what is a fair offer for a particular home  and guidance so that you are not likely to overpay.  Future resale value is always something to take into consideration.  There are no guarantees of future market value but with good knowledge of a current market value and trends, you are more likely to make a good decision.

The Home Buying Process

As you begin to think about buying a home, you're probably acutely aware that this is likely to be your greatest investment. This is where your real estate professional comes in. With the help of an experienced agent, you have a better chance of finding the home that satisfies your needs and wants. As a member of the Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors, New York State Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, I have extensive resources at my disposal to find and negotiate the purchase of your first or next home. A buyer's agent is responsible to the buyer and the buyer's interests in a real estate transaction. The commission is most often paid by the seller.

If you'd like to know about the home buying process, I'd love to tell you all about it. Five Reasons to buy your home with a REALTOR®

  1. Get access to all the listings on the MLS.
  2. Know all the facts on properties you're interested in.
  3. Negotiate with the help of a real estate professional.
  4. Finance your home faster.
  5. Make a solid investment that pays off down the road.

Many real estate transactions include an extensive negotiating process, and as your buyer's agent it will be my job to represent you in negotiating to your advantage and following up on the necessary paperwork.

Working with a dedicated agent on your next home purchase will save you time, and add professional assurance to every step of the process. I look forward to working with you.
